Lazing colse to in the afternoon would be unquestionably excellent with some French tartine and a glass of lemonade. Basically, tartine, which is pronounced "tar-teen," is an open-faced sandwich. Kids in France especially love this, and since the French flag stands for great and distinctive food, the French have invented so many bright ways of making ready this open-faced sandwich. All it takes is five minutes tops!

Tuna Nicoise Tartine: Ingredients and Preparation

Do you want your tartine healthy? Try this method for tuna Nicoise tartine. With seafood and lemon aioli, it is packed with protein, fiber and vitamins. Here's how:

To make tuna Nicoise tartine, drain five ounces of canned tuna. You will also need two-and-a-half tablespoons of mayonnaise and some chopped parsley. Put in order some ground black pepper to taste, and, of course, don't forget the bread! The French use pain de campagne or sourdough bread. Tuna Nicoise tartine also has lemon aioli, butterhead lettuce leaves, Nicoise olives and chopped fresh chives. Put in order two hardboiled eggs and cut them crosswise.

Take your tuna, mayonnaise, parsley, and black pepper then toss. After that, set the salad aside. Spread some lemon aioli on one side of your sliced bread and set the butterhead lettuce on top of the bread. Next, take the tuna salad you prepared and add it on top the seasoned bread and lettuce. Next come hardboiled eggs and Nicoise olives. Your tartine is roughly ready. Take the chopped chives, sprinkle them on top and enjoy! It would be a nice break from the usual sandwich you have for snacks.

Apple and Sage Croque Monsieur Ingredients and Preparation

But as mentioned earlier, the French have so many different varieties of tartine. If you would rather have it a minuscule bit sweet, there are many recipes for that, too. One is the Apple and Sage Croque Monsieur.

Just like Tuna Nicoise tartine, you will also need mayonnaise, ground black pepper and bread. But adding slices of sweet-tart apple gives this single tartine a sweeter taste. You will also need some dried sage, baked ham, cheddar cheese and butter.

Making Apple and Sage Croque Monsieur requires a bit of cooking, too. Heat the boiler just a minuscule bit then mix mayonnaise, sage and pepper. Spread this herbed compound on to the bread. Make sure you do this evenly then add the ham, apple and cheese. Finally, spread butter onto the bread and broil the sandwich until the bread is crispy and brown.

Once you get used to making ready these sandwiches, you'll be able to do them unquestionably fast.
